Claudia Schiffer has just signed a partnership with Vista Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro. The German supermodel is an avid art collector with a self-confessed love of design – and especially Portuguese design. "I have been collecting Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics for years. I am very excited to be able to materialize my ideas and to develop close collaboration with the teams of both brands," he said in a press release. "I can't wait to see the final product in my house!"

We can complement Claudia by saying that we too can't wait to see the pieces. The first launch of this collaboration will be in January 2020 at Maison & Objet in Paris, one of the world's leading decoration and lifestyle fairs.

Nuno Barra, a member of the board of directors of Vista Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro, explains that the partnership established with Schiffer will be an important contribution for both brands to assert themselves as global references in design. "Above all, it is a great honor to collaborate with a world-renowned fashion icon such as Claudia Schiffer, who assimilates our brands into their daily lives, making them their own," he said in the same statement.

This is not the first time that both brands of the Visabeira group have partnered with international fashion references, as they have also been collaborating with Maison Christian Lacroix and Oscar de la Renta. The union with Schiffer is announced in the year Vista Alegre celebrates 195 years and Bordallo Pinheiro celebrates its 135th anniversary.
