Let's honestly acknowledge that we've worn a bra too many days in a row. While the underpants cover the entire intimate area, the bra is not in direct contact with the armpits, the first source of perspiration. Apart from the scorching summer days, which most women regard as a normal day, it is rare to sweat so much that the bra becomes inappropriate for use more than once. Louis Teulières, a physician specializing in immunology and infectious disease, shared with Madame Le Figaro the ideal care for these parts.
The specialist confirms that it is useless to wash them after one use, provided we have good body hygiene on a daily basis. According to Teulières, the ideal would be to wash the bras after three uses (three days). The rule is, of course, to adjust the rate of washes to their perspiration. However, the doctor stresses two exceptions to the rule: bralettes and sports bras should be washed after use once given the amount of sweat on the chest, back and armpits. However, in the case of breastfeeding bras, it should definitely not be used more than once because of milk spills.
Finally, you should take care of your underwear carefully, following the washing rules to avoid damaging the garment. Favor the use of hypoallergenic soaps and as mild as possible to protect the skin and prevent any kind of allergic reaction.
