Matthew McConaughey does not believe that helping people during the coronavirus pandemic should have political tones.
The Oscar-winning actor posted a series of PSAs on his social media account, promoting social detachment and wearing a face mask in public.
McConaughey told CBS Sunday Morning in a recent interview that he hopes to only help people, despite who has voted in the past or plans to vote in the future.
MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY REQUIRES FANS TO STAY INSIDE: & # 39; WE ARE IN WAR WITH A VIRUS & # 39;
"It's about us. It's not about politics," said the 50-year-old Texas native. "The narrative started to look like: & # 39; Well, if you want to go to work, you are on the far right. And if you want to stay at home, you are on the far left. & # 39; And that is not true.
"The virus doesn't give a damn who you voted for, or I voted, you know?" he meditated. "And we shouldn't worry about that now.
"I had some people who came, you know, the swollen chest and went: & # 39; I didn't think so, you know? I didn't think it was a strong choice; I thought of it as a defeatist movement to stay. And now I understand that this is a different kind of enemy that I'm here to fight & # 39; ”added McConaughey.
"If I could be another voice to publicize this and someone could say, 'Oh, I didn't hear that, but I like that McConaughey said to me,' This is a victory! And this is better for them. ' , it is better for me, it is better for all of us ".
In May, McConaughey and his wife, Camila Alves, donated a significant number of masks to hospitals in the Texas region that were fighting the coronavirus pandemic over Memorial Day weekend.

The 50-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a picture of himself and Camila getting into a Lincoln truck that is filled to the brim with boxes both inside and outside the truck.
"Thanks to Lincoln for donating 110,000 masks – me and @camilamcconaughey taking the road to take them to needy rural hospitals in Texas," wrote the actor in the caption.

The pair looks like they are ready to deliver the masks in person. That would be in line with how they donated masks in the past. Previously, they used their resources to donate 80,000 masks to frontline workers in the Austin and New Orleans area.
