Saint Nick has declined since last Christmas and is causing controversy at West Edmonton Mall.
West Ed Santa … kind of hot. I will not lie.

"The elves and I have been on a heavy cardio burn just making toys and sacking presents. It takes a lot of energy," said Santa Steve.
"I feel fit and ready to go for Christmas."

Santa Steve says he has been taking better care of himself over the past year, eating fewer cookies and keeping up with the demands of his growing "cool" list.
"Santa is working hard to maintain his figure," said Lily Lien, MAE's park and attraction marketing manager. "He's keeping fit and we're glad he's here."
"Lots to see for moms and dads at North Pole Place," added event manager Kylee Quinn.
And how does he feel about the new nickname?
"I have a lot of names all over the world," said Santa Claus. "It never hurts to have a little extra love on social media."
