The actor is among the thousands of individuals across the country who have taken to the streets to protest police brutality.

Sampson, 32, shared several videos on Instagram on Saturday of a protest in Los Angeles, where he was shot by police several times with rubber bullets, as well as being hit by batons.

In one of the videos, Sampson revealed that he had been shot four times, while a later video from the day's news coverage contained a photo of Sampson being hit by a police officer with a baton.

After details of his injuries were revealed, the actor took to Twitter to discuss his experience, revealing that he had been shot three more times.

The protests have taken place across the country in response to the death of George Floyd, an African-American resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota, who was killed when a white policeman pinned his knee to Floyd's neck while he fought for air and begged for his life for several minutes.
