The Government will present to the parties the outline of its proposed 2020 State Budget tomorrow, December 10th. Meetings start at 9 am in the Assembly of the Republic and the PSD is the first to hear the ideas of the Executive, official source from the Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs told Business. The meetings will last all morning and the Minister of Finance, Mario Centeno has half an hour to talk to each party or single deputy. This is the indicative time for meetings:
- 9:00 am – PSD
- 9:30 am – BE
- 10:00 am – PCP
- 10:30 am – CDS
- 11:30 am – The Greens
- 12:00 pm – Enough
- 12:30 pm – Liberal Initiative
- 1 pm – PAN
The idea is that all meetings last about half an hour. The only reason why there is a major interruption between the CDS meeting and the Greens meeting is to discount any delays – these are indicative times. It is not yet scheduled to meet with Deputy Free, Joacine Katar Moreira, because the parliamentary will not be available tomorrow. The meeting will be scheduled for another day.
In these meetings, it is customary for the Minister of Finance to give indications on the macroeconomic scenario with which the State Budget is being drawn up, as well as the guidelines of the Executive's strategy.
