Dr. Amie Harwick, ex-fiancee of comic and the host "The price is right" Drew Carey, was found dead in a Hollywood Hills neighborhood, and an ex-boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said on Sunday.
Harwick, 38, a family therapist from Los Angeles, apparently collapsed from a third-floor balcony until his death early Saturday, TMZ reported.
The suspect, Gareth Pursehouse, 41, was arrested in front of his home in Playa del Rey and convicted of murder, the website added. Harwick and Pursehouse had recently broken up and she filed a restraining order against him, but recently expired, Deadline reported.

Harwick and Carey started dating in 2017 and announced their engagement in 2018 – but canceled less than a year later. A Carey representative described the division as "very friendly".
Police said they were responding to reports of a "screaming woman" on Saturday when her roommate said Harwick was being attacked, KCBS reported. When the police found Harwick, they determined that his injuries were "consistent with a fall". The doctors declared her dead at a nearby hospital.
Detectives also found "possible evidence of a fight," added the station.
In addition to Harwick's therapy work, she also appeared in the 2015 documentary, "Addicted to sexting."
