Robert, 15, opened People Magazine and revealed that he was "excited" when Sister Bindi, 21, offered her the role. Bindi announced your engagement July 24 to long-time boyfriend Chandler Powell, 22, whom he met at the Irwin Family Zoo in 2013.
"Oh, I was so happy," the late conservationist's son Steve Irwin said when receiving the invitation. "I was so excited and really honored that she asked me to accompany her down the hall."
Their father, nicknamed "Crocodile Hunter", died in 2006.
"I think it's going to be a wonderful day, a big party," said Robert Irwin. “[Bindi's fiancé] Chandler is absolutely perfect. Can't fault it, he's amazing. "
Robert also revealed that Bindi is trying to get all the family involved in your wedding planning.
"Bindi is really trying to get us all involved in wedding planning," he said. "We're trying to say," It's your wedding, you do what you want, "but yes, she's definitely getting us involved and she has some really exciting ideas."
Robert also talked about his relationship with Chandler with People, noting that he is putting his sister's fiancé to work on many zoo-related tasks.
"I put him there feeding crocodiles and doing all these crazy things and he's willing to do anything and he's an amazing guy," said Robert. "So I'm happy for both of them and I think they are an amazing team."
Bindi confirmed Entertainment tonight Robert to accompany her down the corridor.
"I think it will be really important for me that Robert accompanies me down the hall," she said. "This is something I really want to do."
"I am always very grateful that Robert is there, and he has been a big part of my life and always stepped forward and was the one who gave me a hug when I need it and encouraged me to move on in life," added Bindi. "Then he will definitely be the one to take me down the hall when the time comes, and I think that will make it really special."
