Barbara Walters, now 90 and retired, was apparently way ahead of her time when she first said, "That's 20/20."
To many, this introduction to the news magazine program she co-anchored with ABC from 1974 to 2004 seemed like the perfect way to start the new year 2020.
So to celebrate the new year, New York City WABC-TV mounted a star-studded video tribute to Walters, with stars like Kelly Ripa, Whoopi Goldberg and others expressing the introduction Walters made famous.
The video begins with clips from Walters, giving her the introduction of "20/20".
"Nobody says it like Barbara, but …" reads the video before a string of celebrities give the legendary journalist the best impression.
"I get the job?" asks Goldberg, former co-host of Walter on "In cash, "after delivering the line.
The video includes yet another vintage video from Walters, delivering his iconic line before the text appears: "Welcome to 2020".
