Apple: New MacOS is here, upgrade at your own risk

The new macOS Catalina has officially arrived, and it brings some fundamental changes to the Apple ecosystem that everyone, from casual to professional users, should be aware of.

Catalina officially sets iTunes aside for your Apple devices, favoring separate applications for music, movies, podcasts and television. Catalina also prevents users from playing 32-bit titles. A short list of games will get a 64-bit update, but many will be left behind.

Here are some of the top games that will get a 64-bit update:

  • Civilization V
  • Command & Conquer: Generals
  • SimCity 4: Deluxe Edition
  • Dying light
  • Into the Breach
  • Minecraft
  • Pillars of Eternity 2
  • Elder Scrolls Online
  • the Sims 4
  • Total War: Three Kingdoms

Here's a list of games that haven't received the update yet, or won't receive:

  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
  • Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing
  • Duke Nukem Forever
  • BioShock Infinite
  • Civilization IV
